All filaments are not created equal. A cheap no name spool of low quality plastic will, generally, not produce prints with as high quality as a high quality plastic from Colorfabb for example.
That's not to say that this is always true but more often than not the old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true for plastic as well. We stock branded name filaments that are design to be used on our machine. This ensures you are getting the best material and also quality that our machine can achieve.
We're not saying this just to promote the product we sell, it's simply just the way it is.
MANUFACTURE
We use Shapeways to manufacture our parts. We are please and very excited to have them at our disposal and to be able to offer some very unique printing materials as well as a service of which is second to non.
The main material we offer is a sintered nylon power SLS called Strong & Flexible or PA2200
To 3D print in this material, we start with a bed of Nylon powder and sinter the powder with a laser layer by layer, solidifying the powder as we go.
